A recent Cost Segregation study for a manufacturing client allowed us to reclassify $904,768 of the building’s cost into shorter depreciation class lives under our Speciality Tax Services. The first year cash value of this study is $62,157 and the 5 year cash value is $269,042. Now the client can also take advantage of partial asset disposition by expensing future repairs and renovations because she has an itemized cost basis for her building.
