Partial Asset Disposition (PAD)- Cost Segregation
For projects that have had renovations there are possibly significant amounts of costs that would qualify for a Partial Asset Disposition study. Essentially, these are all of the elements of the property that were thrown in the trash and are sitting on the books as ghost assets. We attach a costs basis to these elements and this allows our clients to expense them in the year they were removed. This is one of the many benefits of having a Cost Segregation performed.
