Dentist Office Cost Segregation
Recently we completed a Cost Segregation study for a new dentist office facility. We were able to reclassify 39% of the facility’s cost basis into shorter depreciable class lives. The end result was $207,186 was allocated to 5 year property and $241,940 was allocated to 15 year property. Dental office facilities are great candidates for accelerated depreciation due to the various speciality sinks, cabinetry, gas piping, vacuum systems/ compressors, oxygen piping, rubberized flooring and dedicated electrical outlets/ circuits.
